Do you deliver parcels or provide other courier services?
No. Realtime Despatch provides order processing and warehouse management software. We dont operate a fleet of vans or provide any direct to home delivery service.
However, our software integrates with courier systems, including those of Royal Mail, DPD and others. In this way, we are able to perform all of the IT-related tasks concerned with couriers, right through from courier selection to label production and notification of courier systems.
I run a web store. Why do I need an order processing system?
Most web store owners use shopping cart software such as Magento or OS Commerce to run their online store. In addition, they typically use third party marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon.
While most shopping carts are great at helping etailers to market and sell their products, they often dont do a particularly good job at order fulfilment. Without a capable order processing system, fulfilment tends to be laborious, time consuming and inefficient. An order processing system such as OrderFlow allows etailers to manage their operations efficiently. As a fully featured warehouse management system, OrderFlow provides complete control over all aspects of the fulfilment operations, saving time and money and allowing the etailer to provide a much better, more reliable service to its customers.
How much time and money will it cost me?
For straightforward warehouse implementations without any additional bespoke development requirements, a system can be commissioned and configured in hours.
However, to get the most of out of the software, or to accommodate more advanced requirements, some effort is required. We have designed our software and setup procedures to support the smoothest possible setup and implementation process, so that the extra time taken translates to real business value and cost savings.

Can you integrate with an existing WMS?
Absolutely. Many retailers run warehouse management systems which already do a great job running their distribution centres and shops. However, in many cases these systems are not especially flexible, or not so well suited to dealing with the kinds of challenges posed by web fulfillment. Often, the cost of commissioning changes to these systems can be a barrier.
In these cases, OrderFlow can sit comfortably alongside a retailers existing WMS. It can either do so by running a separate fulfilment operation with its own dedicated stock, with operations added to move stock between OrderFlow and the existing WMS. Alternatively, if the existing WMS allows, it can support a shared stock model. This can be supported by providing OrderFlow with a regular feed of stock levels, and by allowing OrderFlow to reserve stock as web orders are received, and to debit stock as orders are shipped.
Does your system support multiple warehouses?
Yes, OrderFlow can be used to manage multiple sites, which might be warehouses, storerooms, retail outlets or drop-shippers.
